About this deal

When I first saw the Backlight Filter Face Primer, I was attracted to it, but thought that it looked like a bottle of straight glitter that I would be putting on my face. Speaking of Becca’s highlighters, I have been really obsessed with their poured version of highlighter, it’s a cream and the shades are so pretty. Super common little helper ingredient that helps products to remain nice and stable for a longer time. I tried both with a matte foundation (L’oreal Infallible 24-hour Pro-matte Foundation) and a BB cream (Pink Sugar It’s Awesome BB Cream). Like most Becca products, you can create an angelic and elegant look and a highlight that won’t blind anyone.

It’s not strong, but it’s not a good scent either – luckily, it fades as soon as you apply it to the face. With the combo of some of my tried and true items for oily skin, my look on this day lasted about 10 hours before it started to fade, even with a lot of sweating and blotting.Does anyone have any recommendations for a face primer with a soft, illuminating effect that can be worn alone without foundation and is, obviously, not too tinted for us pale folks. But more than anything, I loved how it also helped keep my face on for hours, despite all that glow. The problem with linalool is, that just like limonene it oxidises on air exposure and becomes allergenic.

I have hyperpigmentation issues and though it doesn’t hide anything, it makes my skin look so well cared for that those issues don’t seem so pressing.

This test obviously isn’t foolproof, but I think it was enough to illustrate how different they are. Glabridin has also some soothing properties but the main active anti-inflammatory component is glycyrrhizin. It’s very suitable for those with dry skin, but those with an oily skin type may find there’s just too much shine for them.
