About this deal

This book is rife with the same empty language and lack of personal responsibility as it claims that all decisions are predestined. On 15 April 2015, Deadline Hollywood reported that the New York Times best selling book Dying To Be Me has been optioned [7] to internationally acclaimed producer Ridley Scott's company Ridley Scott Films. She is merely sharing her experience, her understanding of it, and philosophies in the hope that others don't have to suffer the way she did. I'm just writing this incase anyone else reads these stories because they feel totally on the outside to so many people and it's hard to find others when we don't fit what narrative certain organisations stick to. I was less enthusiastic about the last third of the book, as rather than speaking about her specific experiences, she explains the philosophy of Religious Science/New Thought (although she eschews any religious labels).

As her organs failed, she entered into an extraordinary near-death experience where she would realize her inherent worth and the actual cause of her disease. We don't have to actually "work" at doing anything -- like following specific rituals or dogma -- to stay in touch with our magnificence. With that said, I have to say that I really enjoyed this work, as I found it to be both thought-provoking and compelling. Moorjani’s lack of self-acceptance and constant people pleasing behavior are what caused her illness. However, she mentions that the purpose of her words in this book is to trigger an awakening in the reader.

My feeling on the reading of this type of book is this: if you've chosen to read it, you are probably looking for something more in this life or looking for a different way to have this human experience. This 10th Anniversary Edition includes a new afterword describing how Anita's life has changed, including the discovery of empathic abilities that gave her a profound new perspective. We're one with the universe, our purpose is to be our magnificent selves, and the external world is only a reflection of what's inside us.Now, thanks to this book, I have a clear way to continue that, a simple reminder to make sure I am "living inside out"- Am I acting out of passion or fear? Interestingly, during her coma, she went outside of her body and saw every detail, every medical procedure of what the Drs were doing and even the conversations the Drs had down the hall. In Dying to Be Me , Anita shares all she has learned about illness, healing, fear, ‘being love’, and the true magnificence of each and every human being!

And that's okay because that is the nature of personal spiritual experiences: they're for that person and usually for that person alone. I am an avid reader and I must say, whether you believe the story or not, the book was well written and is an enjoyable read.In this truly inspirational memoir , Anita Moorjani relates how, after fighting cancer for almost four years, her body—overwhelmed by the malignant cells spreading throughout her system—began shutting down. Anita Moorjani has been at the apex of spiritual discussions since her astounding 2006 Near-Death Experience (NDE). And because she moved from operating out of concrete beliefs (which is limiting) to being open to the realm of infinite possibilities.
