About this deal

Honestly he is one unproblematic social media presence and I really enjoy his content for that reason. It celebrates individuality, self-love, and confidence, inspiring readers to reclaim their personal strength and live life on their own terms. I listened to it on Audible and I’m so glad I did because it made me laugh and it also made me tear. These essays are about not fitting in but learning how to not give a fux, how to exude effortless confidence and win people over with charm and humor, being authentic and original, and turning your fantasies into reality the Bretman Rock way—that is, doing the least while looking the most.

I think Bretman Rock’s story is incredible, and I think he’s enchanting, entertaining, glamorous etc etc etc, but this needed an editor. A hilarious romp through his life, from how he became a social media phenomenon at 14 to his hustler spirit and spilling the tea around cancel culture, heartbreak, and lessons on how to love yourself. But I wanted the book to circle back into the reader while sharing my story and telling them that you’re that b--ch as well. Everything he described from the province he grew up in, what his family and home was like, to all the food was a treat to read about because it speaks to his genuine love for his culture (Pinakbet will forever be one of my favourite dishes). Nadja Sayej is an arts and culture journalist based in New York City who has written 5 books, including Biennale Bitch and The Celebrity Interview Book.

Each chapter delves into different aspects of life and provides valuable insights, practical advice, and relatable anecdotes. With a combined following of over 45 million globally, you may recognize Bretman from his reality series, MTV's Following: Bretman Rock or his YouTube Originals limited series, 30 Days With: Bretman Rock.

I enjoyed listening to the audiobook and couldnt help laugh or smile every single time Brett says b*tch. Bretman is hilarious and honest when telling his story and I kinda feel like I need to listen to the audio version? It’s equal parts memoir and self-help conveyed in the most entertaining, expletive-laced manner possible. Also, It is quite hilarious which I appreciate a lot, I usually find it hard to laugh while reading and yet a few giggles escaped my mouth.
